[dorkbotmelb-blabber] Extempore live coding language workshop this weekend (Saturday & Sunday 10am-3pm)

Ross Bencina-3
Hi All,

Just passing on details of a rare opportunity in Melbourne this weekend:

Extempore is a system for live coding audio, 3d graphics, etc. See the
link for details + demo videos: http://extempore.moso.com.au/

It's been around for a few years now and is continuing to gather
momentum. For me, one interesting thing is that it's built on top of
LLVM -- so in addition to being a live coding environment, its a fully
compiled high-performance language.

The developers: inventor (Andrew Sorensen, Brisbane) and co-developer
(Ben Swift, Canberra), are giving a two day workshop in Melbourne this
weekend. Workshop details are here:

If you're interested in live coding and/or dynamic A/V programming
environments I reckon this is one not to be missed.

Cheers,

Ross.
