Dorkbot Austin Auxiliary Events for March!

-dustin younse-
Dorks!  We are taking the month off for SXSW, however there are some really cool ways to fulfill your Dorkbot needs that we wanted to let you know about.

Something we're pretty excited about is Show and Tell hosted by our very own Katie Kizziar and Nerd Nite's Amy Cavender.  It's a great place to give a minidork on a thing you found, made, or otherwise acquired.  We would love to have Dorkbot community involvement!!!

Monday, March 11th - Show and Tell with Miss Amy and Professor K
7:00 p.m. @Spider house (2908 & 2906 Fruth St)
A fun FREE event where people talk about interesting things they have found, made, or otherwise acquired.  Have something you want to share with the class?  Email us at [hidden email]

Wednesday, March 6th, 7:00 p.m. at the UT Student Activity Center (SAC)
Dr. Jason Kalirai presents “Telescopes as Time Machines: The Legacy of Hubble & the Future through the James Webb Space Telescope.”
FREE and open to the public

Thursday, March 7th, 7:00 p.m. at the North Door (501 N IH 35)
JUEGOS RANCHEROS presents: LITTLEBIGPLANET creators Media Molecule, a first look at the new game SoundSelf, and a dance party courtesy of Cosmic DJ

Saturday & Sunday March 9-10th, 11:00a.m.-6:00 p.m.  (101 Red River)
CREATE - the free-to-the-public event will focus heavily on hands-on activities.

Wednesday, March 14th, 7:00 p.m. at Central Market (4001 N Lamar Blvd Ste 100)
Nerd Nite is going to hang with NASA.  No big deal. Oh wait, yeah it is. They are bringing a GIGANTIC telescope!

We are sure there are lots of other great things going on for SXSW.  Please remember to pace yourselves, keep a good charge, oil the appropriate joints, and plan to see us again at Dorkbot 42, on April 15th!
